Aerial Photos

Mainly photos shot from a DJI Spark. Many are panoramic views composed of 5 to more than 50 individual pictures.

Cities can look nice in the fog too. Slightly scary moment of that image: Shortly after takeoff, I lost GPS signal for a couple of seconds, with the aircraft flying off to the left very fast. Thankfully, I managed to counteract with the remote and by visual contact until I regained coverage.

A first attempt at creating a 360° panorama. The original picture is about 20,000 pixels wide. The next image shows an unresized portion of this one.

This is a detail of the previous picture in full resolution.

Biel - Interesting how the train line seems to bisect it neatly into residential and commercial buildings… just as if somebody had built it in Sim City.

One of my first experiments in "little planet"-panorama stitching. Would probably benefit from a more interesting horizon.

Biel, Zentralplatz, around Christmas 2018 (note the tree)

Moosegg - I grew up here. If I had taken the picture at the time I was born, it would have had about five houses and no paved roads on it.
⊕
Moosegg again, this time looking towards the Alps, which — unfortunately — hide behind the clouds today.

One of my favourite aerial photos: Pripyat in 2018. The original shows much more detail, like the "Energetik"-sign on the palace of culture.
