The Circle of Lebanon in Highgate Cemetery West. A nice contrast between the Egyptian style older tombs on the inside of the circle and the later neo-gothic ones on the outside.

This grave is empty yet and without epitaph - yet it is in one of the most central spots.

A scanned slide from 1994, from my first visit to Highgate. Unfortunately, I never found Dr Pratelli's grave again, and nobody at the cemetery seems to know about it. If I hadn't taken the photo at the time, I'd start to think I made it up myself…
